    Bak 2 Skool

Hiya peoples!!! Well, school has officially started. For me it has anyway.I was very excited when my mum was driving me to school, because, well our classroom makeover was finished! For two weeks before the holidays, our class was moved to the art room. That is because, big, stinky workmen (seriously. They stank like they haven't bathed in a week!) fenced of the entrance to our classroom, because (I'm using a lot of 'because' here) we were getting a classroom makeover! I have to say, the workmen did a very good job. But our principal chose very dull colours. Like, light blue walls, navy carpet, blah blah... Anyway, this is what we got...

    - New carpet (navy)
    - the walls re-painted (like I said, light blue)
-the ceilings lowered (we had VERY high ceilings, so it got REALLY cold in winter)
-This kind of carpet-ish materiel put halfway around the walls (so we can stick on our lovely creations with Velcro)
    -new cupboards
-a door put into the wall so we can enter the room next to us (which is going to be a computer lab with seven flat-screen computers) easier

Cool, yeah? I know. Oooops, gotta run. I have a LOT of homework to do...
But then we have to move AGAIN :( To the new building :)
It's so cool! It has a Netball Court, those cool fancy drink taps (yeah fussy about taps), laptop lab (like a really big room filled with awesome brandnew laptops), huge glass windows for us to see the gorgeous view...and to daydream♥
I didn't exactly go in yet. Well none of us are allowed to, not in like 3 weeks. They're still conversgating it to see if it's fire safe and yeah.
    Well. CYA!!!!!
    P.s
I'm sure there's a heap of blogs out there which are fab, great and wow-tastic!!! If you own one of them PLEASE do tell me and I'll visit when I have time on the weekend!!!
PP.S. I'm sorry if I hadn't commented on your blog for a while. I have loads of homework to do that's all.

    Blah Blah Blah

Don't ask me how the title came into my mind, it was a random thought.
OMG. I still haven't done one bit of my homework! Oh shizzles. I better get going FAST.
I hardly got anything to say but, WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I've got 18 followers! Thankyou so much! You peeps are da best ;D Yesterday it was thirteen then ZAP eighteen

So I'm wondering... How do you give people awards? Sorry I'm new to this...

Here's one of the MANY pieces of writing hidden in my notebook. I actually don't know if there are any markets in Mumbai, but I imagine there is...
    Enjoy!!!

It is a hot, dry day in India. A girl is seen walking through a market in Mumbai.
She is wearing a bright sari, her arms loaded with bangles. On her feet are an ancient pair of turquoise sandals with silver beads stitched in here and there.
As she walks, the smell of spices fill her head. She doesn't hear the yells of the stall keepers, advertising fruit and jewellery and wooden spoons.
Her head is held high, shoulders thrown back. She looks confident, but inside she is crumbling.
She is looking for something long gone, forbidden. Something mysterious, treasured.
    A memory, a summer....

    So...What do ya think?

    ♥☺

I got a formspring. Ask me questions and I will answer ;-)

    http://www.formspring.me/quirkycupcake

I'm really sorry that I haven't been posting much! Mostly because I was too busy doing our stupid teacher's holiday homework (no offence or anything. I mean if you were a student, you would have to admit that she's annoying and a bit too cranky) and I was also finding some books at the library for tomorrow's 'Thursday booklists!'
Yes, I changed it. AGAIN. But don't feel so bad. I got some super cool books! If I do say so myself.
Ahh, it is so good to be on holidays! Even though a week's already passed, it still feels like heaven. Sleeping in, baking goodies and staying up late to watch the stars dance. :)
Though I can't go outside to enjoy my new bike because it has been raining NON-STOP, and even if it wasn't there's not much to do except cycle to the pool and back, and there and back, and there and back, and there and...*cough* *cough*, you get the idea. ☺
Ooh, ooh guess what? I've just read Twilight and New Moon! I didn't quite get what the craze was about, and then my best friend S bought Twilight, read it, got brainwashed and pretty much shoved it into my arms and ordered me to read it. The rest, they say, is history. Ok, so they don't say that, whoever they are, but you get the picture.

    Ciao for now!

P.s Thankyou so much for commenting 'The Cat Hag', 'Queena Corrina' and 'Carina'!
I really appreciate it! Ehehehe ;) Still luving you too, Corrina! Yes! I got nine followers! WOOOO!

    Saturday, 16 April 2011

    Heya!

WOO! I'm back! Long time no see, huh? Well actually it's been two days...
    Camp was sooo fun
As I am writing this, I am nibbling on a toffee apple and listening to 'Fearless' by Taylor Swift. Jealous? :)
By the way, this is a shout out to Corrina; YOU RULE GAL!!! <3
Firstly/Lastly because of her song choice and that I won a toffee apple (the one I'm nibbling on :D) and and a bag of lolly snakes from the music concert last night because of her! YIPEE free lollies! I LUV em! Thanks a bunch! Ehehehe but I kind of ate up all the snake lollies in less then a minute for a midnight snack. They put so little lollies in the package these days ;( JOKES...No really.
Anyways, today I finally received my new bike! My old one is about like, up to my knee and is horribly old. My new one is purple and just the right height! I am so excited. I can't wait to ride it to school on Monday! I mean in like, 2 weeks. *sigh* Oh wait! I'm riding to the library soon! YAY!
Right now I'm reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I don't think I really wanna watch the movie though. The book's sad enough.
Well, I gotta go. Cherry blossom trees to water, reading to do, bikes to ride. TTYL!

Unfortunately, no mail. But hey, that gives me an idea!
You can send me your cringe-worthy moments, and I'll pick the best ones to post in my new feature, hmmm...What should I call it? Mega Blush-O-Drobe?
If you have an embarrassing story, send it to me on cherrysparklez@gmail.com!
Can't wait to hear from you!!!
Eeek! Our instructor is coming my way!

    -------------About 6 hours later-----------------
Okay! I'm adding another part to my post.
Thanks ЯANdOM ЯAWR for the comment and follow! I'm so happy!
    Anyways, I learnt this yesterday from one of our instructors who came from Japan because of the Japanese earthquake;

The paper crane is Japan’s most powerful symbol of peace and hope. In the aftermath of the Japan earthquake and tsunami, folding paper cranes to send our prayers, thoughts and wishes to Japan seems very appropriate. She told us about Sadako. When she was telling us the story, I felt tears prickle from my eyes. I think you'll understand if you read the story.
Note to self: This is true story.

Sadako and the 1,000 Paper Cranes
Sadako Sasaki was a Japanese girl who lived near Hiroshima, Japan when the atom bomb was dropped in 1945. At the age of 11, she was diagnosed with leukaemia as a result of radiation from the bomb. Japanese legend says that anyone who folds 1,000 paper cranes pleases the gods and is granted a wish, so Sadako decided to fold 1,000 paper cranes to make her wish to get well come true. Sadly, she had folded a total of just 644 cranes when she died. Sadako's friends and classmates completed the 1,000 paper cranes and these were buried with her. A statue of Sadako now stands at Hiroshima, and at its foot is a plaque which reads: "This is our cry. This is our prayer. This is our cry. This is our prayer. Peace on Earth.

I found this really interesting even though it was tear throbbing. There's also a book about it so I'm hoping I'll read it sooner or later. So what do you think?

    Ideas every Thursday

    Hey peeps of da blogoverse!

Don't you just love books? Books about mystery, romance and all that gooz?
If you do, then these books are right for you! I read The Body Finder about 8 months ago and I LOVED IT! But I wouldn't reccomend it for well, people who don't like romance or dead things. I'm gonna read Desires Of The Dead later when it's Lights Out in Camp. I had this idea last night and yeah, so I'm thinking of doing book reviews every Thursday. Well, their not really reviews but their the books you should read. Yes, this blog is random. No, I am not. But if your not into these types of books, I can always publish more different ones.
    My Cupcake rate:
    4 Cupcakes

    What's your rate?

    ♥Strawberry Cait Sundae♥

The camp is soooo small but so awesome! Seriously peeps, there's like ONLY 5 cabins and each cabin holds 6 people.
Camp Is LOADS of fun, except for the fact that S, M and I had to share a cabin with a snotty girl from another school who called us psychos and screamed at us because we were taking along time in the showers.
I have blue and purple bags right below my eyes every morning and look like a complete ghostly hobo. I look plain CREEPY.

It's on for 12 days every holiday. I can't wait! I would also like to tell you that I will be absent from this blog for 7 days, as I'm going there! Yesss! I apologize for any inconvenience, and in that time, you can check my other blogs out!
I'm leaving at 1:00 PM today. I'm told not to mention the camps name so I won't.

My first follower! And how I actually started this Blog

    My first follower!!!
Queena Corrina! I was her 20th follower too! OMG LUV YA GAL <3 Oh and do visit her blog(by clicking here!)! It's so creative and exciting!YAY!

OK, I'm gonna go all the way back and tell you why I decided to start this blog. Have fun reading!!!

It all started when we were in the library, borrowing books and I noticed that this girl was always getting books from the same series. The series was called 'Pony Pals'. I decided to try it out (since I couldn't find any other good books), and soon was reading it non-stop. But right under the shelf where all the Pony Pals books were, there was a series called 'The Baby-Sitters Club'. I wondered if I should read it, but I didn't really want to. Then one day Mum's friend took her son and me to a HUGE library. I got a heap of pony books (obviously) and then once again I noticed The Baby-Sitters Club books. So I just took one. After reading it, I marched into the school library and borrowed as many Baby-Sitters Club Books as possible! Seriously, I fell in love with the series. I read every single Baby-Sitters Club book the library had!
On one of our visits (to Sydney), Dad said he would take me to a bookshop. I thought he'd take me to Borders (a VERY big bookshop), which had the Baby-Sitters Club, but we were running late so he took me to Angus and Roberston. I was kinda upset, but then I saw a series of REALLY bright books and decided to take one. I took Gingersnaps. And that was that. I was completely HOOKED by ALL of Cathy Cassidy's books! They are really good!!!

So then I decided to go to her website, http://www.cathycassidy.com/. In the bit where she wrote about herself, I noticed it said one of her favourite reads was Think Pink by Lisa Clark. It sounded cool, so I searched for it and found out Lisa Clark had a website, http://www.pink-world.co.uk/. Somewhere in it, she mentioned a fab blog . I visited it then looked at the followers. I clicked on a bunch of cherries (click here to look at it!). I checked it out, and it definitely got the ElectroSparkle Approval. Actually, ElectroSparkle didn't exist back then, so I guess it got the Caitlyn Approval. Then later on (2 years later), I found out about Queena Corrina's blog. And that's it, after reading all these fab blogs I decided to create my own. Thanks to all these people for inspiring me, I really couldn't have done it without you!

I really think this is very random. I mean, it started with going to the library in Sydney, and finished with a blog. What d'ya think?

    Op Shop Treasures!

I normally wouldn't post again on the same day but meh.
Today my Mum and I went shopping, after we came out of the Clothes Bin (this neat shop wich sells really good clothes) I saw the op shop. You know, the one where people dump all they're pre-loved goods, and other people buy it for a VERY cheap price? Yeah, well, I've never actually been to this one, not that I've been to very many op shops, so I said 'Mum, lets go in there!'
So we went in, and I found this REALLY cool necklace made out of red dice and little flower shaped beads, only for like, $2.00! I loved it. You know I love unusual jewellery and accesories. Some Op Shops donate a bit of their money to charities like the Bushfire Apeal. So I skipped out of the shop feelng like I REALLY helped someone!

I'm 12 years old so I'm not really that...you know. Unfortunately this blog isn't going to be so smooth on the road so I would appreciate it if you could give me tips and yeah.
